Zereshk is the Persian word for the barberry, the small sour red berry scattered like jewels over saffron rice. Persian cooking is patient: khoresh (slow stews) that simmer for hours with herbs by the armful, dried limes, walnuts and pomegranate, and rice steamed until it forms tahdig, the golden crust everyone at the table wants a piece of. In our kitchen the herbs are chopped by hand every morning, the saffron is ground and bloomed fresh for each pot of rice, and the dishes come to the middle of the table to be shared, the way they would at home.
Allergies and intolerances. Our kitchens handle all 14 allergens, so we cannot promise any dish is free of them. Recipes and suppliers can change: please ask our team about allergies before you order, every time.
